My DNA ID |
This service targets individual clients who want to have their DNA profile taken to be used for identification purposes later. This will be very important in the future as a DNA Id may be the only means of conclusively identifying an individual. Families or individuals may want this as a permanent identification for use in case of disasters. This was recently identified as important in the 9/11 terror attacks in the United States.

Positive Identification or Kinship Analysis:
- Families who want a positive means of identifying loved ones.
- Individuals who want to be able to be identified should some misfortune occur.

- Any person whose work environment subjects them to increased risk or exposure.
- Persons who want to ensure that their estate goes to rightful heirs.
Medical Purposes:
- Parents who what to create a genetic family history or family tree.
- Persons who think they may be at risk of developing a genetic disease.
- Workers who may be exposed to environmental hazards.
You may collect the sample yourselves with a My DNA ID collection kit and then mail the sample back to the laboratory. You would then be issued with a certificate (see sample) indicating your profile. You may also request a DNA ID card which will also show your DNA profile(see sample card).
You may also opt to have CARIGEN store your DNA profile for a period of 20 years. This profile would be stored in a highly secured database. This details of the profile would be accessable only to the family whom you have authorized.
Blood Storage Cards
The client may opt to only have a blood/saliva sample drawn, stained and stored for future used of they may have the profile itself taken. These samples would be profiled only if required by the client or clients family.
